I love the coloring books for adults that are out now, but did you know that they have “adult themed” coloring books? These are the coloring books that your children should never get a hold of (if you have children that is). I love coloring, it is kind of meditative. It is a creative outlet, that you do not have to put much thought into (other than deciding which colors to use). Plus to me it is stress relieving.
Check out the four adult themed coloring books that I have been having fun with (I am not getting paid to endorse these products, these are things that I just happen to like):
- 50 Shades of Bullshit Swear Word Coloring book by Alex Fleming. I love this coloring book; it is printed on black paper, so once you apply color it really stands out. I swear like a trucker because I used to be an over the road truck driver, so this coloring book is perfect for me! You can find this coloring book over on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/686594251/swear-word-coloring-book-50-shades-of?ref=search_recently_viewed-1&pro=1&frs=1
- Miss PJ Superior’s Divine Feminine Adult Coloring Pages. Inspired by the presence of the divine feminine reflected in preexisting objects and images all around from the spiritual to the “mundane”, PJ Superior offers these insights as illustrations in a completely handmade adult coloring book for your interactive meditation. Each book features 9 original PJ Superior illustrations including the colorable cover illustration. You can find this coloring book and other lovely things by PJ on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/PJsuperior
- Japanese Erotica, a Sexy Coloring Book by Natalie Tate. Throw wide the shoji screen and enter the sensuous world of Japanese erotic art. Delicate courtesans in the embrace of virile samurai, secret rendezvous between forbidden lovers, a realm of bold and subtle gesture. Within these pages you’ll find 23 brilliant drawings based on the most arousing works of Japan’s greatest shunga masters. - Illuminating the Stars Coloring Book by Alicia Justice. This delightfully macabre handmade coloring book is filled with silent film stars, all beautifully hand drawn by Alicia Justice. Alicia is an artist from Portland Oregon (which is where I am from). This book deals with the addictions and deaths of the silent film stars. The silent film era was from the 1920’s and earlier. I found Alicia and this coloring book at the Creeping Museum (pop up craft market). I love the old silent films and the stars from those days, so I had to have this coloring book! Well that is all for now, until next time!
